Abstract

In the course of a dissection of a cetacean belonging to the species Neophocaena asiaeorientalis, caught in the Changjiang (middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze river), nematodes were found both in the region of the throat and in the blood sinus of the dura mater. These roundworms belong to a new species of the genus Pharurus.
